101 Secrets for Your Twenties
How is everyone’s summer going? Michael & I have moved and somehow June just flew by and here we are on July 8th. I’ve been reading a lot and trying to process and slow down in the midst of what feels like chaos and uncertainty. But I had to check in and remind you that I will be back come August and obviously with our book release in September.
I just finished this amazing book 101 Secrets For Your Twenties and I’m so excited to tell you about it!
If you’re like me, sometimes you think what is another book going to tell me that I don’t already know? Right?
Well, I am so proud of my friend Paul because he has given us twentysomethings a field guide to our twenties that will make you laugh and hopefully breath a sigh of relief that you are not alone. He’ll remind us overthinkers that:
“A date is a date is a date is a . . . A date is not a marriage proposal. It’s not a romantic comedy. It’s not a death sentence.”
or those trying to figure things out:
“Finding a full-time job is the most demanding full-time job you’ll ever have. Except that it pays nothing. It’s discouraging. And no one will care if you show up for work”
or the majority of us that will taste real failure:
“Your twenties will produce more failure than you’ll choose to remember. The key is: when you fail, don’t begin calling yourself a failure.”
and give us helpful tips to avoid common disasters of our generation:
“Don’t ever commence dating someone you met whilst in swimsuits.”
“The Freshmen-Fifteen is nothing compared to the Cubicle-Cincuenta. Don’t sit at your computer perched like a Roman gargoyle letting office birthday cake be forced upon you.”
And remind all of us to never:
Would you help Paul get the word out about his book by sharing this post? Happy summer!
