Calling all Nashville Singles!

I’m so proud of him.

My wonderful husband was promoted this summer and is now the Director of Singles Ministry at West End Community Church. We are thrilled with his new role. On one of our Sunday coffee dates, we visited this new coffee shop called The Well and brainstormed  how to make a weekly gathering less intimidating for people. “It’s scary to go to a new church or to a church in general if you haven’t been before,” I said. We looked at each other, thoughts swirling, and there it was: “Why don’t we have it here?” It was a crazy idea, but Michael discoverd the owners are Christians and they were also thrilled with the idea.

All that to say, if you live here in Nashville-will you come to the kickoff of Impact on Tuesday, September 11th? The best part about this new ministry is we’re meeting at The Well, a.k.a. the Africa-esque new coffee shop in Green Hills that benefits organizations like Blood: Water Mission.  I’d love to meet you if you are a blog reader, so please come say “hi”!

Three Reasons you should join us for Impact on Tuesday Nights:

1.) Great place to worship and hear from two great teachers, Scotty Smith and Michael Dean.

2.) You never know who you’ll meet! Maybe your new best friend or someone to connect you with a job or even your future baby daddy. Too much? Well, at least you are still reading…

3.) It’s the only thing happening on Tuesday nights that will both fill your soul and your social tank. Promise!

Who’s in? I really hope I can meet some of my Nashville readers on Tuesday! Wouldn’t that be grand!?

That’s so neat! Wish I could check it out. It’s also cool because the college ministry at my church in Chattanooga (Brainerd baptist) is partnering with a couple universities in our city and meeting on my college campus for our college service and we just started calling it the well! Saying a prayer for your new ministry. Hope to hear more about it in the future.

This is wonderful news! I am sure that Michael will be a great ministry leader for singles. And i know you will be a very helpful partner. I love what you have posted about singleness and things that relate to us. I wish I could be a part of it- but that will be hard from about 3000 miles away. I can pray for you and it anyway. May you both be greatly blessed by taking on this unpopular [in most churches] but much needed ministry.

My friend and I were interested in attending this, but we have another meeting we are required to attend from 6:30-7:00 tomorrow night. Can we arrive 15 or so minutes later, or would we have missed too much? Will this be a weekly gathering? Hope to hear back in time! Thanks!

I’m in Knoxville during the fall for law school but would love to come when I’m home over Christmas break if this is still going on!
